Nose Ring 101 - How To Find the Perfect Nose Ring
Thursday, March 22, 2018
Before you go shopping for a new nose ring, let me give you the break down of the many different styles because chances are the shop stylist is going to ask you which kind of nose ring you prefer and your just going to standing there like uhhhh...
Just keep in mind, each style is different and what might work for some might not work for others. It's all trial and error.
Corkscrews - Most common nose ring to be pierced with. Pros: Doesn’t come out easily. Cons: Hangs out of nose. Difficult to put in.
Bone - Straight nose ring with a tiny ball at the end. (My Personal Favorite) Pros: Doesn’t come out easily. Great if you don’t plan on changing. Cons: Can be painful putting in at first. If you were pierced with a thicker gauge it may fall out easily
Bend to Fit Nose Rings - Straight nose ring that you can bend to fit your exact nose. Pros: Flexible, Customize to your nose, great for those with a thicker nose. Cons: I have yet to find any..
L shape - Nose ring that has a slight bend in it. Pros: Easily take in and out Cons: Comes out easier
Hoops - Circle nose ring Pros: Gives nose piercing room to breath Cons: Hoops are curved. Can be difficult to put in for a newbie.

Double Cartilage Piercing!
Thursday, November 2, 2017
Watch Max get her cartilage pierced for the FIRST time! She got what is called a double cartilage piercing or “Snake Bites.”
Cartilage is the translucent elastic tissue located in the upper portion of the ear.Think of the cartilage area as two separate layers – the skin covering thecartilage and the cartilage itself.
The cartilage can be pierced just like the lobe, with no greater pressure or specialtechnique required. During the healing period, the overlying skin cells migrate into the piercing to form a channel through which the earring can slide.

Earrings for Cartilage!
Wednesday, November 1, 2017
6 months after I got my cartilage pierced I started to have problems with my two cartilage piercings. Both became swollen and had a large bump on the back with puss. I was 17 at the time and knew nothing like I do now when it came to piercings. I couldn’t take the pain and annoyance of wearing studs because they were too tight on my ears and I didn’t like the feeling when I slept with them. I switched to the only pair of tiny earrings I had at the time which were my baby hoops.
Once I started working at Piercing Pagoda, I switched my cartilage earrings to a pair of tiny gold hoops and I’ve had them in ever since. Hoops for me personally are much more comfortable in the cartilage. I personally don’t like the feeling of sleeping with earring studs in my cartilage. I know that they’re there in my ears and it’s uncomfortable. With a hoop, I never notice that it’s inside of my cartilage and rarely ever get it caught to anything.
Different types of hoops:
Hinged
Huggies
Continuous
Studs:
Internally Threaded
Basic Stud with Butterfly/Silicone Backing

Jewelry Life Hacks - Cleaning Jewelry, Storage, Tips & Tricks
Saturday, June 4, 2016
Did you know that you can clean your sterling silver with ketchup. All you have to do is put ketchup and your sterling silver jewelry in a bowl, leave it for about 5-10 minutes, to remove the ketchup just rinse off with water and a toothbrush. The acid in the ketchup helps restore your sterling silver back to new =)
For cleaning gold jewelry, you actually don’t need any harsh jewelry cleaner. All you need is a mild dish soap and water. Use a toothbrush to get in any grooves or channels. Also, did you know soap and water is the best way to clean your gold plated jewelry as well?
This next hack is for those who have sensitive ears and find your ears really sore after wearing costume jewelry. All you need is vaseline to create a barrier between the metal and your ears.
Most people already know about this hack, but if you don’t and you end up losing an earring back, all you need is an eraser for a temporary fix.
This next hack is great for traveling with your jewelry! Using a pill case is a clever way to store your earrings and rings while you’re on vacation, preventing you from losing anything and helping you get organized by using the days of the week on the pill case.
Sterling Silver is known for tarnishing but did you know if you store your sterling silver correctly it will slow down the tarnishing. Store your silver in a zip lock bag and also using a slicica bag will help slow down the tarnishing as well!
If you want a quick fix for oversized rings and need a ring guard, cut a piece of a straw and create a slit, then hook on to the back of your ring.. there ya go. Easy inexpensive ring guard.
Another hack for a ring guard is use a hot glue gun. Put some hot glue onto a surface and dip the back of your ring into the hot glue so it gets on the inside as well. Once it’s cool to touch, shape the glue around the ring and ta da! DIY ring guard. Don’t worry, you can remove the glue easily and it doesn’t ruin your jewelry.
Did you know you can use a paper clip to help hook on your bracelet if you have no one to help you? ... or you can use a paper clip to remove a knot from your necklaces.
If you want to prevent knots if your necklaces, put your necklaces through a straw. This is also great for traveling so that way you don’t have to worry about your necklaces balling up together.

REVAMP VANITY TOUR/MAKEUP COLLECTION 2015
Saturday, May 16, 2015
ALL INFO ABOUT VANITY AND WHERE EVERYTHING IS FROM IS LOCATED ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL. CLICK HERE
You don't need an expensive perfume tray. I found this tray at Dollar Tree which is actually a cookie tray!
I love this brush organizer because I can organize my brushes by type (foundation, blush, blending, shader brushes, etc.) It spins so I can easily find my brushes with no hassle. It's actually a desk organizer that I found at TJ Maxx.
Lipstick and Lip Liner organizers can be found on Amazon.
Ikea Alex Drawers are really the best way to organize your makeup. You can use small drawer organizers (Dollar Tree) and customize to your needs and liking. I have my drawers organized by face primers, foundations, concealers, etc.
I like having all my palettes spread out so I can find them easily!
Eyeliners, mascaras, blushes, and face powders can easily be organized using these longer drawer bins from Dollar Tree.

White Gel Nail Polish Stains?
Sunday, March 2, 2014
Follow me on Instagram @hellocrisst
It's been about 3 weeks since I last got my nails done and I already broke two so I was MORE than ready to get them done. If you seen my last post (click here) then you can see how long my nails were. When they're that long, they break much easier and it gets annoying doing anything with your nails. Also, my white gel nail polish started to stain! Never knew that was possible but I asked my nail tech and she said just use some acetone and the stains will come off. Who would have known? lol
Anyway, about my new nails.. I'm moving soon so I knew it would be more practical to get short nails and the color... I've been so in love with this color for years! That coral/salmon color is my absolute favorite color in the world. It's a combo of pink and orange. I guess you can say it's my "go-to" nail color.

Ring Obsession
Wednesday, January 22, 2014
I'm obsessed with these rings! Piercing Pagoda now has mid-finger rings, pinky rings, and thumb rings. They also have sideway crosses and infinity rings that are really cute (with necklaces to match)! The best part about it is the fact they are all 10k gold so they won't turn your fingers green! Prices start at $34.99. Ring sizes 3 and up.
