HOW I LOST ONE INCH OFF MY WAIST IN 28 MINUTES - MY CRYOSKIN EXPERIENCE!

Saturday, July 21, 2018

CryoSkin 2.0, CryoSlimming, CryoTonning, Cryo Skin, how to lose belly fat, how to lose back fat, how to lose inches

One inch off my waist in 28 minutes? Yes, it's possible! Let me tell you about my Cryo experience.
Also check out the YouTube video below to watch how it went!

WHAT'S CRYOSKIN?

CryoSkin is the easiest, painless procedure I've ever tried. CryoSkin uses a wand to apply sub-zero temperatures to an area of the body you would like to lose fat and actually DESTROYS the fat cells. There's many parts of the body it can be used.. like to get rid of the fat around your bra area, hips to get rid of love handles (that's what I did), belly, legs, and the list goes on. Any area a person wants to lose fat, this machine has your back (literally)! Double chin? CryoSkin got you.

CryoSkin gets rid of that fat cells naturally through the body's lymphatic system which essentially means the fat cells are urinated out. No worries though, you most likely won't even notice.

HOW?

lose belly fat, how to lose inches off your waist, cryoskin2.0, cryoskin, cryoslimming,

The Cryo tech uses a special wand that first applies 4 minutes of heat to the targeted area and then 24 minutes of cold at 17 degrees F. CryoSlimming uses thermoelectric cooling to freeze the fat to destroy the fat tissue.

I didn't experience any extreme discomfort. It was cold but not freezing to the point I was shivering and that particular area felt numb but I didn't feel any type of pain in anyway. It was actually relaxing as you can see in the video below.

AFTER CRYOSLIMMING

Once the procedure was done the tech immediately measured to see my results. We focused on my hips more in my back area. I wanted to do that area because that's where I gained a lot of weight after having my three children. I instantly lost one inch after the 28 minutes of Cryo! The tech at BlinkStudio where I did my Cryo procedure said that she had one client who had 3 inches after the CryoSlimming procedure. Each person will have unique results.

CRYOTONNING

The CryoSkin 2.0 machine also does what's called CryoToning, which helps with the appearance of cellulite and fine lines. It can be used for the face or any part of the body. I decided to do the back of my legs since I do have cellulite.

The results were actually surprising. I'm not gonna lie.. I'm usually pretty skeptical when it comes to things claiming to reduce cellulite but the pictures don't lie. You can see how the indentations right below the booty are more subtle and the lower half is more smooth in texture after the CryoTonning.

cryo toning, cryotoning, cryotonning, cryoskin2.0, how to get rid of cellulite, how to get rid of fine lines, how to tone your body,

MY EXPERIENCE WITH CRYO

Overall it was a pleasant experience that I would totally do again. I would like to continue on my hips and eventually move on to my belly since those are my main problem areas. For CryoTonning, I want to try my face since my smile lines are becoming more defined.

I love how the Cryo procedure was quick and I didn't have to sit there for hours to get the results I was looking for. I was surprised I could immediately feel the difference in my sides and wearing jeans!

Do you have any problem areas you would like to try Cryo on?

Hey what's up everyone, it's Christina. Welcome back to my channel. Today I have for you guys a review. I'm going to be reviewing something new. It's actually from Sigma. These are the new loose powders from Sigma, part of their Stellar Glow collection.
They have some new loose powders and then also some new glitter. I have a total of five. I have two glitters and two shimmers. I'm going to be showing you guys swatches and then I'm going to be showing you guys how I use them.
I did use them on my eyes today, so I'm going to be telling you guys how that worked out. Then, I'm going to be putting it on my cheeks. Also, I'm going to be showing you guys how you can actually use these as a lip topper. If you guys are interested in this video, then make sure you keep watching. Also, don't forget to subscribe for more videos.
I was going to show you guys swatches, but it came out like a total fail just because I'm so white and the glitters are very pale. You can't really see them on my arm, so it's kind of pointless. I have Bewitched and also Etheral. They're both white glitters. To me they're almost the same. I really can't find a difference. One has a little bit more green to it. I would say Bewitched has a little bit more green to it.
Then we have Felicity, which in the pan it looks purple and it does show up purple and pink. These are all kind of like duo chromes. Next I have Zeal. I'm not sure if you can see that. Which Zeal comes out purple, but it also has this bluish, purplish tint to it.
Now those are all the loose pigments. What's great about these is that you can actually use them for several different things. You can use them as eyeshadows, a highlighter, and even a topper for your lips. That's what's really good about them.
I did use them as an eyeshadow today and I didn't care for them as an eyeshadow. I tried to use MAC Mixing Medium with it and I don't know if it's that, that just didn't make it work that well. I couldn't see it at first on my lids, so I used the MAC Mixing Medium to make it more pigmented and show up, but it ended up getting really chunky.
As a highlighter, these actually work out very well, at least the loose powders. I wouldn't use the glitters. I'm going to show you guys real quick. I'm going to use Felicity. I'm just going to dump some in the cap. Then, I'm going to use my Sigma FO3 brush. This is more of a purple, a pinkish purple. They look really, really nice as highlighters.
Next on the other cheek, I'm going to use Ravishing. Ravishing is the lightest shade and I find it hard to come up. Next up I'm going to take Ravishing and put that on my other side, but that looks really pretty as well.
Next I'm going to use Zeal as a lip topper. Look how pretty, look how cool that is. I think that's my favorite part about these is the fact that you can use these on top of lipsticks and because they're duo chrome, they look so cool. I love it. You can't find many things out there like this. I love this. I think that looks so pretty together. If you're wondering, the lipstick I'm wearing is the NYX Liquid Suede, color ... I don't know. This is the color Oh Put It On. Yeah, look how cool that is.
If you guys are interested in getting these, my favorite colors are Felicity and Zeal. I love Zeal. I think it will look really, really pretty as a lip topper on many different lipsticks and Felicity's really pretty as well.
The glitters, they are very, very pretty, but they would probably work better as eyeshadow. Ravishing, it's really light. I think it will look good in maybe the inner corner. My top two are Felicity and Zeal. If you guys are interested in picking them up, those are the two that I really like. I will leave them in the description bar if you guys are interested in getting them.
Yeah, that is all for today's video. If you guys like this video, make sure you guys give it a thumbs up. Also, don't forget to subscribe for more videos.

HOW TO START YOUR NIGHT TIME SKIN CARE ROUTINE

Thursday, October 15, 2015

Night Time Skin Care, How to start a skin care routine, layering skin care, best skin care products,

WATCH VIDEO HERE (YOUTUBE)

If you learn something new, give the video a thumbs up!

If you're interested in stepping up your skin care routine, but not sure where to start.. this video is for you! It's never too early or too late to start a skin care regimen. Skin care is important because our skin is the first thing people see when they look at us and it's the largest organ of our body. If you're not taking care of your skin, it can look dull but if you're taking care of your skin, it'll look vibrant, glowy, and healthy.

Figuring out your night time routine isn't as hard as you think. First start with removing all the dirt and makeup from your skin with a good makeup remover. (all products I used are listed below) Next time to wash your face with a cleanser. Using a face brush is a great tool to help get the dirt out of your pores, but not totally necessary. Once a week, it's good to exfoliate your skin to remove the dead skin cells. For this, use a good enzyme exfoliator. Also once or twice a week, use a face mask to help detoxify your pores. You want to get all the dirt off your face so your skin can breath. Next, apply a toner. A toner is a step that a lot of people skip but it definetely necessary. A toner helps remover anything that your cleanser missed and if you left any cleanser on your face, a toner will help remove that as well. Next it's time to apply your eye cream. Find an eye cream that best fits your specific needs. For example, I have really dry under eyes.. so I applied an eye cream that's moisturizing. If you want to target dark circles, find an eye cream that targets this specific problem. Now for a serum. Again, you want to find a product that fits your specific needs. I want to focus on antiaging so I got a serum with vitamins to help with anti aging. Next, for a moisturizer. If you are oily, go for a lotion and if you're dry go for a cream. Lastly, go for a night cream or an oil to seal it all in.

I'm young and in my mid 20's and right now anti-aging is my main concern when it comes to skin care, I want to preserve my youthful skin for as long as I can. Personally, I've stopped using tanning beds, make sure I use SPF when going outdoors, and drinking more water as part as my skin care on top of using all of the following products:

Watermelon Basiltini Pedicure - Red Door Spa #galsquad

Sunday, June 14, 2015

#GALSQUAD
So happy to announce that I'm the ambassador for Red Door Spa Atlantic City, located in Harrah's Resort. I'll be reviewing products and services from Red Door Spa over the next few months. On this day, I was able to enjoy something a little different, a Watermelon Basiltini Pedicure.

I've been to many spas and I don't think I've been to one as big as this one. This Red Door Spa location features 23 Spa Treatment rooms, a sauna, and a jacuzzi you can enjoy while sitting next to the warm fireplace. Also, enjoy your manicure and pedicures while watching your favorite shows on flat screen tv's. This location also features a couple suite in which you can enjoy an 80 minute couples massage with your partner.

My first service was a relaxing Watermelon Basiltini Pedicure. Absolutely perfect for the summer because your feet are exfoliated with a watermelon-basil sugar scrub and then your feet are hydrated and massaged with buttercream scented shea and cocoa butter. We don't want dry cracked feet right? Finished off with a paraffin treatment, which if you never tried you must! A paraffin treatment is where your feet are placed in a plastic bag with warm wax that helps seal the moisture in your feet. Your feet are then wrapped in warm towels for about 20 minutes. It's VERY relaxing and it was well needed for as much as I'm on my feet!

While I enjoyed my pedicure, I sipped on a Watermelon Basiltini infused water and it was by far the most amazing water I've ever had in my life. Red Door really knows how to amaze their guests with even the most simplest details.

I'm a sucker for orange colored polish so I went with Sundae Fundae by Essie. It's a great summer shade! Here in Jersey, we are more than ready for summer after the winter we've had so this pedicure was the perfect way to start it! Thank you Jennifer and Red Door Spa for the amazing pedicure and experience.

Gerard Cosmetics is a well known brand here on YouTube that is talked very highly of by the most well known YouTubers such as Carli Bybel, Jaclyn Hill, Nicole Guerriero, Rositaapplebum, Whatwouldlizzydo, and many others. The question is... Is this product worth what they make it to be? Are they being honest or is money an influence?

This is MY honest opinion. You know, Freedom of Speech. Some may agree, others may disagree.

MAC KEEPSAKES HOLIDAY COLLECTION

Monday, November 10, 2014

I'm loving MAC's Keepsakes Holiday Collections this year! Other than MAC, there's not too many holiday collection/palettes that I've been excited about this year.  What do you guys think about this years holiday collections and palettes?

Here's what I got:
Mac Keepsakes Nude Lip Bag
Mac Keepsakes Eyes Beige
Mac Viva Glamorous Lip Palette

Viva Glam 1 - 6
Viva Glam 1 - 6
This palette is a twist off of the Viva Glam 1 lipstick, which is included in this palette. I was kinda bummed once I realized this because I already own Viva Glam 1, but there is five other shades LOL.

Left side of this palette from top to bottom:
Viva Glam 1 (matte)
Viva Glam 2 (satin)
Viva Glam 3 (matte)

Right side top to bottom:
Viva Glam 4 (lustre)
Viva Glam 5 (frost)
Viva Glam 6 (lustre)

Viva Glamorous 1 - 6 (bottom to top)

MAC Keepsakes Beige Eyes Palette

The packaging on this palette is so cute! I have heard other complain about the packaging saying it seems cheap. The only reason I can think someone would say this is because of the beading around the palette. I played around with the beading around it and it seems like they did a pretty good job securing it on there. I've opened it plenty of times already and I don't think it's going anywhere. Anyway, I can't get enough of neutrals and glitters. Absolutely perfect for the holidays!

Kiss the King Lipstick (Lustre)
Boldly Bare Lipliner
Chic Supremacy Lipglass

Still on my wishlist:
MAC Objects of Affection - Gold and Beige Pigments/Glitter
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights
Nars Virtual Domination Cheek Palette
Gucci Guilty Perfume
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black

What are you guys loving and wishing for this year?

AMREZY VS. LAVISH PALETTE - WORTH THE HYPE?

Thursday, September 4, 2014

I planned on getting the Amrezy palette the week it came out, but I hesitated when I heard it was just like the Lavish palette, which I already own. When I seen it in person and swatched the purple, the brightest shade in the Amrezy palette, I knew I had to give it a try! Also, another reason it took me awhile to get the palette is because I could never find it in stores. I went to Ulta 4 different times and could never find it. Not in South Jersey where I live, nor North Jersey when I went to the Freehold mall. Once I found out that Ulta was no longer going to be carrying it due to the fact it was a "limited edition" palette, I ordered it from the Anastasia website ASAP!

So, if you're wondering if there's a difference between the Lavish Palette and the Amrezy Palette (both made my Anastasia Beverly Hills), I swatched them and I'll give you my own opinion on them.

Both palettes come with 10 shades, with very similar colors. I swatches only shadows I thought were comparable to each other so that way you guys can see what they look like next to each other.

The Highlights - Cream VS. Legend
Cream is pinkish matte, where as Legend is shimmer and more of a yellow. Cream doesn't come up on my light complexion where as legend shows more.
My Winner: Legend

The Bronze colors - Rum Cake VS. Topaz
Rum cake shows up lighter than Topaz. The Amrezy palette is much more pigmented than the lavish palette so of course the winner is.. Topaz

Reddish Browns - Sienna vs. Morocco
You'll hear a lot of bloggers rave about Sienna because it's such a beautiful color, but Morocco is such a deeper color, yet more pigmented than Sienna.
My Winner: Morocco

The Transitions - Orange Soda vs. Caramel
Orange soda is such a beautiful color for a transition, due to my light skin tone I really have to build this color on my eyelid for it to show. Caramel was the first color I started to play with when I got my Amrezy palette, I LOVE it! The perfect transition color for warm neutral eyes!
Winner: Caramel... by far.

The Purples - Pink Sapphire and Iridescent Purple
Pink Sapphire is a little bit deeper than Iridescent Purple, which is much more vibrant. The Iridescent Purple is much more wearable, in my opinion and I think it's way prettier. You see Amra on Instagram wearing a similar shade (even before she made this palette).
Winner: Iridescent Purple

The Greens - Moss vs. Emerald
Moss is a lighter green (not by much though) where as Emerald is a deeper green. I must admit I'm a little intimidated by green period.. but I think Moss is more my color.
Winner: Moss

The Dark Browns - Truffle Vs. Deep Plum
Truffle is a shimmer versus Deep Plum which is a darker matte shade

Blacks - Black Diamond vs. LBD (Little Black Dress)
Black Diamond has specks of gold in it that's very pretty but if you're looking for a true, matte black, than LBD is your color.
- Neutral on this. I like both :)

Overall, I love the Amrezy Palette so much more than my Lavish Palette. I go for a "neutral" look almost everyday for work, so I can see myself reaching for the Amrezy palette way more than my previous go to palette, the Lavish. Amrezy palette is overall just much more pigmented and has warmer tones! Love it!

Second time ordering from Anastasia's website..

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

If you read my previous post about my experience with Anastastia Beverly Hill's website, you would know that I wasn't too happy. Apparently a lot of people aren't because week after week that has been my most viewed post! See, the problem with Anastasia Beverly Hill's website is that they aren't the best when it comes to shipping and customer service.. which makes them a little bit different than most websites in 2014.

You get your email the day that that you order and then you don't get any email updates on your shipping status for days! You finally get your email about your shipping status, only to open it and find out that's not your name OR address! Yes, the first time I ordered from Anastasia's website I was sent the WRONG person's information. I was shocked to see a California address when I live in New Jersey. Eventually, I was sent the right information and it took about two weeks for my highly anticipated Lavish palette to get to my house. By the time it got to my house, I didn't love it so much as I did when I first ordered it. Probably because I waited so long..

I guess 2 weeks isn't so bad when the shipping is free, but when you try to contact customer service about the status on your order and get no response.. it's a little disappointing for such a popular brand. I expect a little more from a brand with such a high reputation, don't we all? She is the eyebrow "gawd" after all.

My second order with Anastastia Beverly Hill's website..

Timeline:
Ordered: Tuesday, August 26, 2014
Email with Tracking Status: Never got one..
Received: September 2, 2014

I told myself I wasn't going to order from the website again, but I couldn't find the "AMREZY" palette in two Ulta stores or the Ulta website. I had mentioned it to Ulta's twitter and they were nice enough to respond saying that it was a limited edition palette and they wouldn't be getting any more in stock. So, I had no choice but to get it from the Anastasia's website. I really didn't want to order from the site but I wanted the Amrezy palette much more (I love Amra!) I had to tell myself to just expect to wait...  so here I am writing this.

September 2, 2014:
It's been one week since I ordered my palette. I decided to log on to the Anastasia website to see if there would be any updates on my order. It said complete, but had a tracking code that didn't work. I was quite annoyed so I contacted customer service via email like the error code said. I did all my errands for the day and came back home to find my palette in my mail box.

I was surprised because it has only been a week! Last time I ordered it took about two weeks. Not bad, I'm glad she offers free shipping because I would probably be unhappy if I had to pay for shipping. I really love her products, I just hope her website ordering gets more organized and consistent.

What was you experience with the Anastasia Beverly Hill's website?

HOW TO ACHIEVE THE BEST AIR BRUSH TAN RESULTS

Monday, May 26, 2014

how to achieve the best air brush tan, spray tan, organic tan, dha tanWant a nice healthy tan without the harmful effects from the sun? Scared that self tanner that will look uneven and orange? If that's the case, you should try getting a professional air brushed tan. I'm not talking about the machines in some salons that you walk-in to that sprays you from head to foot. I'm talking about actually having a PROFESSIONAL that uses an air brush machine to give you a natural, even looking tan! I recently received a professional air brushed tan and have some tips and tricks for you to achieve the BEST results.

Prepping at home:
Shave:
Freshly shaved legs are better than stubbles! For maximum results, I recommend shaving the day of your appointment for the smoothest legs possible! If you want to know a little secret of mine, use hair conditioner instead of shaving cream. Hair conditioner moisturizes your legs, leaving them noticeably soft afterwards. I NEVER get razor burn with conditioner. After trying this trick, you'll never buy shaving cream again! (pshh.. I haven't bought shaving cream in years.) Don't forget to shave under arms and bikini area.

shaving tips
Exfoliate:
Remove all the dead, dry skin from your body. This can be done by using a loofa and a good sugar scrub. You can find loofa's at target or local dollar store. As far as sugar scrubs, you can make you own (I made a DIY lip scrub found here, which can also be used for your body), or you can buy your own sugar scrub. I use a sugar scrub found at Esthetica, which leaves my skin feeling silky smooth afterwards. They key is use some type of abrasive to scrub off dry skin, especially on elbow's, knee's, and the bottom of your feet.

Moisturize:
Moisturizing helps achieve an even tan. We don't want a blotchy - uneven spray tan do we? Generously, apply a good moisturizer to your whole body, ensuring to get every part. My favorite is Jergens Shea Butter.

tanning tips

TIP: Before you get to the salon for your spray tan, I recommend getting any waxing you need done first. For example, you don't want to get your eyebrows waxed AFTER or else you'll have white marks from where the wax removed the color. Same goes for your bikini area!

THE TAN

NAKED OR BATHING SUIT?
Deciding to wear a bathing suit or getting sprayed naked really depends on your personal preferences. Do you want tan lines or do you feel comfortable going topless. It's completely up to you! No shame ladies, we're all women and just think how many naked people the person air brushing you has seen before you! I personally don't mind either way, but I did wear a black strapless bikini for picture purposes. If you wear a bikini, make sure it's a dark bikini or something you don't mind messing up!

Priming!
The person spray tanning you will apply a primer and a barrier cream. Ally, from Esthetica, first sprayed my whole body with a primer and then applied a barrier cream to my cuticles on my fingers and toes, and also to the palms of my hands. This step helps prevent dark spots in those areas and helps make your tan look as natural as possible!

Tip: If you're using anything for acne or a retinal cream, it's suggested to stop using this product 1 week before you get your air brush tan. (Only if your choose to get your face air brushed.)

The Air Brush
I'm naturally very pale, so I chose to go with a medium color. Ally applied the product to the front of my body first, working in small sections at a time. Once she was finished with one part of my body, she would dry that area before moving on to the next part. I like the fact that the spray doesn't have a strong scent (thank god it doesn't have that corn chip smell) and doesn't leave you feeling sticky afterwards. The whole process took about 30 minutes.

Getting professionally air brushed gives you a more even tan and makes it look more natural than a self tanner or a walk-in spray machine would do. Ally ensured every part of my body was sprayed and afterwards rubbed the barrier cream off my cuticles and palms. She even made sure I didn't have any excess product in my knuckles. Talk about paying attention to detail!

Tip: Come to your appointment with baggy clothes!

Maintaining
tanning tips, million dollar tanThe tan gradually gets darker and by the third day you will see the maximum results. Your spray tan will last anywhere between 1-2 weeks. To achieve a longer tan, it's best to not exfoliate when showering. Also, you can touch up with a self tanner as it fades. I recommend Million Dollar Tan (CLICK HERE), which is fabulous organic self tanner.

SkinCeuticals at Esthetica - Glycolic Lactic Peel

Monday, May 12, 2014

I'm so excited to share with you guys that I had my very first skin peel this past week. SkinCeuticals came to Esthetica Salon and Spa to share their incredible products.  All that was needed was an appointment at Esthetica, with a $50 deposit which went towards SkinCeutical products.

esthetica

THE PEEL

The peel I received was called a Glycolic Lactic Peel. The GL peel itself is actually very quick. There was a little bit of tingling experienced but nothing that can't be handled ladies. It was relaxing and refreshing! Some benefits of the GL peel include: improving the appearance of hyper pigmentation and dullness, reducing fine line and wrinkles, and smoother and softer skin.

THE RESULTS
My skin felt so soft and my skin tone was even (no redness!) I noticed that each client that received the peel had an wonderful glow to their skin.

AFTER THE PEEL

Afterwards, an account executive for SkinCeuticals, Denise Gannon, helped recommend products for at home use.  SkinCeuticals is a brand that is clinical based and has one mission- provide advanced skin care that is backed by science. They are truly passionate about skin care and make it their first priority. SkinCeuticals is big on protecting the skin (get your sun block girls) and providing the skin with the nutrients it needs, such as Vitamin C. They provide products for treatments that can be done in doctors offices or medical spas. SkinCeutical products are medical-grade and can be combined together to meet specific needs and skin types. SkinCeuticals is highly recommend by doctors and skin professionals and have been mentioned in magazines such as Allure and Vogue.

PHYSICAL EYE UV DEFENSE
I was able to try SkinCeuticals Physical Eye UV Defense, which is a non-migrating protective eye base to enhance skin tone. Did you know that the skin around your eye shows the first signs of aging?  The Physical Eye Defense has SPF 50, which helps protect your eyes from the sun.

Not only does it protect your eyes but  it is also very hydrating. The skin under my eyes is typically very dry. When applying concealer under my eyes, I notice a lot of cracking due to dryness. The Physical Eye UV Defense alleviates the dryness under my eyes while protecting my skin from the sun at the same time. It's a great base/primer for make up application.

OVERALL
Overall, I'm blown away. I can't believe how incredible the quality of these products are. If you have specific concerns and feel as though drug store products aren't for you, definitely try SkinCeuticals. Drug store products are meant for a broader market, where as SkinCeuticals is a medical-grade product meant to meet specific needs.

Remember every skin care regimen needs three significant elements - a product to prevent, a product to protect, and a product to correct! What are you missing?

Mixed Chicks Product Review

Monday, April 21, 2014

For the month of April I've been focusing all my posts on curly hair. I personally don't have curly hair, BUT my 5 year old daughter Aaliyah does! She has a FULL head of hair.. long, thick, and curly. Did I mention knotty? She's mixed.. her dad is black and I'm Puerto Rican, Irish, and Polish. (To see Aaliyah's hair care routine, click here.) As I explained in the last hair post, her hair has been a journey and has changed over the years. (Surprisingly she was born with straight hair!) Since Aaliyah is still too young to do her own hair, I had to figure out what products will work and what techniques I should use.

MIXED CHICKS

products for biracial women, products for multicultural women and kids

Mixed Chicks is a brand that is well known and it is targeted towards "mixed" girls and women so this seemed to be a perfect match for Aaliyah! If you find that products in one aisle are "too dry" on your hair, yet the others are "too oily," try Mixed Chicks! I'm open when it comes to trying new products, so this is something I had to try!

"Finally, a curl defining formula designed for 'us.' whether you're black, white, asian, latin, mediterranean or any glorious combination of the above, you'll love the way this alcohol-free, non sticky, lightweight product leaves your hair inviting to the touch as it defines and locks moisture into every curl. be a proud part in our multi-racial movement, show your curls and radiantly roll with 'Mixed Chicks.'"

Ingredients (Leave-In):
Water, Glycerin, Amodimethicone, Emulsifying Wax, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/Pvp Crosspolymer, Stearalkonium Chloride, Methygluceth-20, Hydroxypropyl Trimonium Choride, Octyl Methoxcinnamate, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Jojoba oil, Safflower oil, Primose Oil, Wheat Amino Acid, Crosilk, Methylparaben, Proplyparaben, Butylparaben, FD&C Yellow 5/CI 19620, FD&C 6/CI YELLOW 19630, Fragrance (PARFUM)

Shampoo:
Claims - rich lathers, clarifying formula, and removes build up

Does it live up to it's claims?

Yes, Mixed Chicks Shampoo did a great job cleansing the hair but unfortunately it did leave Aaliyah's hair feeling very dry afterwards. It seems as if it strips the hairs of all its oils, leaving it dry. I wish it was a little bit more moisturizing.

If your not big on sulfate shampoo's, I don't recommend this one. Although Mixed Chicks does have another shampoo that is sulfate free!
Verdict: Thumbs down

Deep Conditioner:
Claims to be a great detangler, for course, curly, or straight hair, prevents breakage.

After I shampoo'd Aaliyah's hair, I applied the deep conditioner. I used my fingers to comb the product through her hair. I let it sit for a few minutes and then rinsed. This was my first time using a deep conditioner on Aaliyah's hair. This isn't your ordinary drug store conditioner. You can feel the difference when your combing through the hair with the conditioner. It also helps detangle the hair as well. I plan on trying this on my hair as well!

Does it live up to what it claims?

YES! Although I haven't been able to test out the breakage part, that would be something that you see over a longer period of time. I plan on trying this on my hair as well!
Verdict: Thumbs up

Leave-In Conditioner:
Claims to moisture, control frizz, and define curls

This is my favorite part of the whole line! I wanted to see the true results of this product so I used only the leave-in when styling Aaliyah's hair. I applied a generous amount product from the route to the ends, being sure to coat every strand, and let it air dry completely. I was surprised to see that her hair didn't turn out to be a huge puff ball.  I used the same finger coiling technique as seen in my YouTube video "Managing Curly Hair - Part 2 - Styling."

Does it live up to what it claims?

100%! Love it.. it leaves her curls so soft and moisturized. I can definitely see myself buying a new bottle when this one is finished! You can say it's "repurchasable" lol :)
Verdict: Thumbs UP!
