Get Rid of Those Crusty Winter Lips with 2 DIY Lip Scrubs

It's been a cold winter for New Jersey. It snows almost every week, it's so cold, and my lips are going through it! My lips get so dry during the winter, they get crusty, and when I'm sick I get this icky film on them.. Who's with me? Chapstick and lip balm can only do so much.. here's 2 DIY Lip Scrubs to get rid of crusty lips.

1. Brown Sugar Scrub

-brown sugar

-coconut oil

1:1 ratio

(I used 1 tbsp of each)

2. Cinnamon Scrub

-Honey

-Sugar

-Cinamon for flavor

1:1 ratio for sugar and honey and I just used a dash of cinnamon for taste.

This tastes amazing, I just ate off my lips because its THAT good.

You can use your finger or you can apply using a toothbrush with a soft bristle. Scrub for about a minute, wash off with water or wipe off with a washcloth.  Apply your favorite chapstick/lip balm

 Have fun with these recipes. Get little jars from your local craft store, tie a ribbon, add a gift tag and give these little babies as gifts. You can even add ingredients like pumpkin, rosemary, cinnamon.. the list goes on.  Experiment with items from your own pantry and leave a comment below to tell me what you came up with!

I'm most excited about Benefit's POREfessional. I've been wanting to try it for awhile now but just don't know if I want to fork over $30 that easily for face primer and not know if I'm going to like it. Glad I can try a sample of it! Honestly I get enough primer from Ipsy's Glam Bag that I never have to go out and buy any. It seems like every time I'm almost done one, I get another one. Very convenient and no complaints on too much primer. I love it.. keep it coming!

This is the first time I've got a foundation from IPSY. I feel like they never send foundation because it would be too difficult to match foundation to every subscriber. I don't know if I got lucky or what but mine matches perfectly!

Love the mojito lip balm although I don't think it will replace my Noya Cherry Lip Balm I received a bag few months ago(I LOVE that Lip Balm..One of my favorite products under $15). It reminds me of Carmex but with a mojito twist..

As far as the body balm, I'm pretty sure this is the first time I received an Organic product (certified by USDA.) It's very moisturizing and smells so good!

I can wear boots like these all day every day.. at least in the winter. Oversized cardigan, cami, highwaisted pants, combat boots.. bam, easy outfit.

Be prepared to start seeing more plaid shirts around the waist. Do you remember how convenient this was as a kid? Playing on the playground, taking your jacket off when it became too hot and then tying it around your waist so mom didn't yell at you for getting it dirty. LOL

Stiletto Nails

Feels nice to finally have nails again after 2 years. I went the natural route for awhile but let's face it, I don't have time to keep repainting my nails everyday. Between cleaning, my kids, and my actual job.. Ain't nobody got time for chipped nails! LOL anyway. I went for some stiletto nails, with pink gel polish on my thumb, middle, and ring finger, a chevron design on my pointer finger and light gold glitter on my pinky.

The Naked 3 is MINE!

So happy to finally have one of these! Can't wait to try new looks with the Naked 3. I love the first Naked palette so when I found out a third was coming out, I knew I had to have this one. (See my first post here on the Naked 3.) Girlllllllll let me tell you, it wasn't easy trying to find this and the Lorac Pro Palette.
